Formula and supply-route planning

Personal Lubricant Format Selection Guide

Select a format from the buyer use case, target texture, downstream capability, packaging and destination market. WODE can review finished liquids and gels, selected concentrate or semi-finished routes, white powder-to-mix concepts and qualified external-use novelty development without assuming that every formula supports every supply route.

FORMAT IS NOT A CLAIM. Final positioning, ingredients, mixing directions, packaging, test plan and destination-market language are confirmed for the approved project. Glow-effect concepts are for external use only.

Commercial routes

Choose the route before quotation

OEM / ODM / BULK / PRIVATE LABEL

The correct route depends on the approved product, buyer capability, packaging, destination, commercial quantity and requested documentation.

01

Finished liquid or gel

Choose a market-ready viscosity and dispensing format for WODE filling, coding, packing and agreed private-label release.

02

Bulk finished formula

Receive an approved finished liquid for qualified buyer or contract-packer filling under a documented responsibility boundary.

03

Selected concentrate route

Evaluate a project-specific semi-finished or concentrate format only where downstream processing, controls and documentation are suitable.

04

White powder-to-mix concept

Develop a measured white powder format with defined water ratio, dissolution method, packaging, storage and post-mix handling instructions.

Decision matrix

Facts procurement teams should confirm

No unsupported fixed assumption

Decision areaCurrent WODE guidance and confirmation point
Water-based liquidOften selected for easy cleaning and broad pack flexibility; viscosity, osmolality, pH, preservative system and intended-use positioning remain formula-specific.
High-viscosity gelSupports a thicker sensory direction and may require different pumping, filling, deaeration and packaging-compatibility checks.
Hybrid or silicone directionReviewed against target feel, material compatibility, cleaning expectations, destination requirements and the buyer claim brief.
Powder concentrateWhite powder that requires a validated water ratio, mixing sequence, dissolution time, water-quality boundary and post-mix shelf-use instruction.
Glow-effect conceptPhotoluminescent project direction for external use only; charge conditions, visible effect, raw-material safety and warning language require project validation.
Supply formatOEM/private label, finished bulk, selected concentrate, powder concentrate or unbranded finished goods are quoted only where technically suitable.

Release gates

Checks before commitment

Define the user and marketState the intended product position, destination country, sales channel and any mandatory or prohibited claim language.
Set measurable targetsDescribe appearance, viscosity, glide, residue, scent, colour, dispensing and reference-product priorities.
Confirm downstream capabilityFor buyer filling or mixing, document water quality, storage, transfer, mixing, filling, release and traceability controls.
Match the packageReview bottle, tube, sachet, pump, closure, seal, label and carton against the approved formula and fill process.
Freeze the document scopeAlign specification, SDS or MSDS, transport evidence, batch records and destination label review with the final commercial version.

Buyer questions

Answers that prevent RFQ delays

Which lubricant format has the lowest MOQ?

MOQ depends on the formula, batch route, packaging component, decoration, testing, documents and destination. WODE recommends the lowest feasible configuration after reviewing the complete brief.

Is powder lubricant supplied as a coloured powder?

WODE's current powder lubricant development direction uses a white powder. Appearance after mixing and any permitted colour direction are confirmed during development.

Can every liquid be converted into a powder or concentrate?

No. Powder and concentrate routes require dedicated formulation, dissolution, stability, microbial and downstream-process validation.

Can glow-effect lubricant be marketed for internal use?

WODE positions the current glow-effect concept for external use only. Packaging and communication must not imply an unapproved internal-use route.
